Teatro Nuevo México (TNM), New Mexico's newest Latino theater company, was formed in 2003 by veteran actors, playwrights, directors, designers, and community activists. We are part of a national resurgence of Latino theater, building opportunities for positive representation of Latino cultures.

TNM's mission is to present unique Latino perspectives of humanity through theater, multi-arts and community outreach.

Founding board members of this non-profit company are: José Apodaca, Carol Ann Benavídez, Michael D. Blum, Daniel T. Cornish, Miguel Martínez, Salomé Martínez-Lutz, Henrique Valdovinos, Frances Varela, Maria Varela, and Sabina Zuñiga-Varela.
