Based on the biblical story of Joseph of the many-colored coat, this magical zarzuela brims over with comedy, memorable tunes and dances.

Outreach Programming:

New Works Play Readings

Scripts about Latinos written by New Mexican playwrights are being sought for a 2009 premier performance, made possible by a grant from the Urban Enhancement Trust Fund. To enter a script, please mail three copies to the TNM office at 107 Bryn Mawr S.E., Albuquerque, NM 87106. Deadline is January 15th, 2008. Readings will take place in June, 2008.

Zarzuela!

An adult two-week intensive course under the direction of Maestro Pablo Zinger will focus on singing in Spanish. The children will be studying with teacher José Daniel Apodaca, recipient of the highest teacher award - the Golden Apple Award. Scholarships will be available. For more information, please call TNM or the Education Office at the National Hispanic Cultural Center after April 15, 2008.

Suzuki!

Marcos Martínez, master teacher from New Mexico and California, will offer and introductory, four-day (Thursday - Sunday) master class for adults in the Suzuki Method of Acting, a powerful and beautiful technique Mr. Martínez studied in Japan. Scholarships will be available.
